From Wolsingham market place NZ 076372, N on B6296 to 077375. NW through Demesne Mill picnic area and CP to 075376. N to 075378. WNW to FPs junction at 071379. Briefly N to 072380, where fork NW to meet road at 067383. Briefly NW, then SW/NW on farm lane, passing Fawnlees Hall 063385, to exit Park Wall Plantation at 055392. NE passing Park Wall 057394, then briefly NW/NE/N to High Jofless farm 060402. Briefly E to 060402, then N along east side of small wood to 061403. NE across fields to wood at 063406. N to meet road at 063407. N to dam wall at 063408*. (Here, Middle Walk leaves.) Continue on minor road N/NE along W side of Tunstall Reservoir to reach Tunstall House Farm 067418. E on track steeply ascending past N side of Beckhouse Wood, and S side of Quarry Wood, to reach tracks’ junction at 078420. NNW to 4-ways FPs junction at 076424. Briefly NE to Salter’s Gate 077426. SSE/SSW on clear track to return to 078420. Briefly S/SSW on byway, passing Ninety Acre Plantation, to 4-ways FPs junction at 075409*. (Here, Middle Walk rejoins.) S to where byway becomes a metaled lane at Thistlewood Farm 078389. S on lane to junction at 079386. W to Baal Hill House. S to Holywell Farm, then S/SE on field FP to go between houses in Wolsingham at 077376. S to market place 076372.
Middle Walk 7.3 miles.
From Wolsingham Market Place NZ 076372, follow Long Walk until 063408.* Here the Middle Walk leaves. E along Tunstall reservoir dam wall to Weir at 067408. Bend clockwise N/SE/NE around Backstone Bank. E to then more gradually ascend to reach a byway at 075409.* From here, S to follow Long Walk to Wolsingham.
